Ministry Emphasis for 2012
Deborah and I want to thank you for
your fervent prayers and faithful support of Greenway Ministries. In 2011
we witnessed many souls coming to Christ and many more believers testifying to
going deeper in their relationship with the Lord. We are thankful for
God's grace and anointing upon the meetings last year. Your prayers and
participation are a vital part of God's blessing and favor upon this ministry
and for that, we thank you from the bottom or our hearts.
This website has been set up for the sole purpose of assisting pastors and lay-leaders in preparing for revival meetings. The links above may be accessed for more biographical information and emphasis of ministry by clicking on "about us". For locating a meeting near you and to join with us in prayer for these special services, click on "schedule". For scriptural prayer helps in preparing for revival meetings, click on "prayer".
We believe that our Lord set Biblical precedent in the book of Leviticus, with the "Feasts of the Lord" for a spiritual emphasis week each year in the lives of His people. We further find scriptural support for revival in Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, where the Lord says, "To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven." These two scriptural references give us confidence to know that revival meetings, and the gathering together of God's people for spiritual purposes, are in the perfect will of God. Therefore, our faith should be encouraged to believe God for great things in these special services.
The Bible teaches in the book of Ephesians, that Christ has ordained a five-fold ministry to the Church. Along with the office of pastor, the Lord has ordained apostles, prophets, teachers and evangelists. Each of these Christ-ordained offices have a special role in the body of Christ. I do not profess a calling to pastor, apostle, prophet or teacher, but God has called me to be an evangelist and to minister to the body of Christ in this office. These offices should compliment each other in accomplishing God's purposes for His Church outlined in the scriptures. According to the book of Ephesians, these five-fold ministries should be for "the perfecting of the saints", for "the edifying of the body of Christ" and, for "the work of the ministry".
I have been an evangelist for the past 15 years holding approximately 40+ meetings per year. In so doing, I have observed several key factors in the meetings where God's power was most evident. First, and most importantly, the people had prepared their hearts through prayer. Secondly, they had planned in advance to attend these special services by sacrificing temporal activities that would interfere with this divinely appointed time. Thirdly, they came to each service with great expectation and anticipation that God would move in their lives personally. Finally, every Spirit-filled meeting we have been involved with, the genuine excitement, passion and enthusiasm of the pastor was clearly evident to us, and most importantly, to his congregation.
Please help us pray that the congregations and pastors we serve, in the body of Christ, will properly prepare and recognize the divine mandate for revival. Also, pray that these churches and camp meetings will have FAITH in God to truly bring revival to His people.
Again, we thank you for your loving support,
Kenny & Deborah
